Join a Working Group 2023-24
The UK-based Sport for Development Coalition is inviting applications to join its new Working Group structure for the period April 2023 to March 2024.
Working Groups enable Coalition members to help shape and define the network’s Collective Action, and for the year ahead three new 'Collectives' will be formed based on policy, impact, and public affairs and advocacy. A fourth Collective, based on workforce development or 'people', was formed in December and will follow the same format as the others.
Applications close on Sunday 12th March 2023.
Register for an #OpenGoal drop-in session
The Sport for Development Coalition will host a series of weekly drop-in sessions online during March to consult and support its members around the first anniversary of the #OpenGoal framework on April 6th.
#OpenGoal is a Shared Advocacy Framework which aims to highlight the contribution of targeted sport and physical activity-based interventions to a number of national policy priorities, such as reducing crime and youth unemployment, and building social cohesion.
The 30min drop-in sessions will take place online every Thursday (1200-1230 GMT) in the build up to April 6th, which also marks the UN's International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (#IDSDP).
